I have a confession to make. When I first started my hypnotherapy business, I wasn’t really getting it.
It took me years to understand Social Media and figure out how to run a successful blogging and client based business.
I did it all through trial and error and some great coaching.
I’ve noticed so many of you are making the mistakes I did; throwing hope at the wall and expecting sales to follow.
THE TWO BIG LIES YOU MIGHT BELIEVE
Lie #1: If you put a blog out there and it looks pretty, you’ll soon have a huge following.
The TRUTH is that if you don’t have a strategy in place, you are not going to make any money.
Here’s what you can do. Plan out all the services, courses or products that you want to sell.
Then list all the affiliate courses or products you want to promote.
You can even sell services like consulting, coaching or printables, products or photo shoots.
Next, decide when you’re going to promote each thing and put that into your BLOG PLANNER.
And now decide how you’re going to sell it. Because it doesn’t just go “POOF” and sell by itself…will you run a challenge, a series of livestreams, and email series?
You get to choose the best way because it’s YOUR blog!
Lie #2: Lots of tips, tricks and freebies will make you hugely popular and drive sales.
No, no…no, no, no.
This makes your audience crazy because they have to consume all of these freebies.
It’s exhausting…
They’re gonna either stop opening up your emails or just unsubscribe completely.
And YOU will be pulling your hair out to try to keep making more and more stuff for them.
THE BIG CRY
And where is the BIG CRY? Well, that was me because I bought into the big lies and made every possible mistake.
I wasn’t crying sad, I was HOPPING MAD! (I cry when I’m really mad…)
Look, there’s a lot to think about when planning your blogging business.
And there’s a lot of bad advice floating around.
